The waves rolled just to where Kevin’s feet were. Occasionally they’d splash onto his toes. The sun felt good against his face and shoulders and the sand felt nice under him. The waves made a muted roaring sound as they rushed toward him and the lone seagull dipped and dived and cried out, “BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!”
Kevin rolled over and tried to look at the clock. He vaguely remembered it buzzing before. He knew he needed to get up so he tossed the blankets off, then reached over, and hit the snooze alarm again. He sank back into his pillow and drifted back to sleep.
