Memorite Data Module 3.005

Marrying a non-Memorite

The vast majority of Memorites who marry choose other Memorites as their spouse. On rare occasions, a Memorite will wish to marry a non-Memorite. Since this situation presents some unique and inherently complicated circumstances, a set of guidelines has been established to aid in making such a decision less cumbersome.

Before such a union may be allowed, the non-Memorite must attend a vigorous three-month course designed to prepare him or her for life with a Memorite spouse. It is at this point that many of the prospective spouses weigh the burden of their decision against their dedication to the proposed union and choose to not continue. The course is not designed to discourage the marriage, but to prepare the non-Memorite for the burdens he or she would otherwise have no way of knowing about.

Upon completion of the course, permission is granted for the union. When the vows are given, the non-Memorite spouse is granted a level one clearance. This will suffice in allowing answers to many of the questions that arise from the non-Memorites being exposed to the daily routines of a Memorite.
