Sporadic Failure of Training (also subtitled ‘Rogue Memorites’)

CAUTION: This module is for level four Memorite students only.

A fully trained Memorite possesses abilities and talents that can be extremely disruptive to society in general. Our Founder recognized this threat and established our training to include a foundation of limits on how we may use our abilities. The summation of these limits can be found in the Memorite Code (data Module 0.001). On rare occasions, Memorite Academy Graduates have decided to ignore the limits placed on us by the Memorite Code and have acted outside its boundaries. In most of these cases, these Memorites have been returned to the Academy and have undergone intensive retraining. It was the decision of the Founder and the agreement of the Memorite Society that our abilities must be tempered by the Memorite Code.

There have only been two instances where Rogue Memorites have not been able to be returned to the Academy. Both instances were because the Memorite in question died before he could be apprehended. The first 18 years ago, in an explosion. The second, seven years ago in an automobile accident.

While the first death was confirmed upon the discovery of the partial remains of the Rogue Memorite, there are irregularities about the death of the second.
